Lukas Kreibig deals with an animal, the Greenland dog, which is threatened with extinction and with it the traditional way of life of the Inuit. For his project "The last of their kind" he wants to investigate and visualise the decay of this way of life in Greenland. The jury particularly appreciated his search for new photographic narratives through participation in the community, which he pursues intensively in his long-term projects. His photography is characterised by its poetry and his sensitivity for the right moment.
